Heat Deflection Testing Machines
The heat deformation temperature reflects the short-term resistance of the plastic material to heat. Even in the short term, the heat deformation temperature only shows the relationship between the plastic itself and the temperature change. This relationship will vary with the rate of temperature change, the sample heating time, and the pressure changing applied to the sample. Softer materials are also prone to lower test result.
