This tester conforms to test standard applicable for method A and method B. The plastic film is clamped pneumatically on around the specimen holder (Ø
127mm) in an instant. The impact head used in method A is
Ø 38.1mm and in method B is Ø 50.8mm. The dart is fixed top the tester. After the dart is selected and the height is adjusted, release the dart with the electronic magnet. Film’s resistance to impact can thus be tested. Generally, 1 specimen is tested at a time and after 20 tests, record height and dart weight under broken and unbroken conditions for every test. This serves as a reference to the film’s resistance to impact.
